Fellowship – Sharing the Present and the Past and the Future
- Regional and special interest Branches and a Day Club provide camaraderie, social activity and mutual support for those that have served Australia in periods of war and peace.
- Many other associated groups use the RAAFA Centre for regular
meetings, reunions and gatherings, eg, Catalina Club, Odd Bods
(UK), RAAF Europe, RAF Association, and New Zealand RSL Sub Branch.
- RAAFA Office services available to other organisations on fee arrangements.
- Free historical and technical library.
- Increasingly those with civil aviation interests are enjoying membership.
The RAAF Association is a National membership organisation with Divisions and Branches in all States and Territories. RAAFA is a leading member of the Australian Veterans and Defence Services Council.
Commemoration Events Facilitated by RAAFA
- ANZAC Day March Melbourne, serving and past service RAAF welcome to march with RAAFA, if without another affiliation – Air Forces Club open on ANZAC Day for meals and refreshments.
- Battle for Australia events, bring Australia's WW2 history
to younger Australians.
- Ecumenical Service in March, at nearby St Martins South Yarra, followed by fellowship lunch.
- Pilgrimage to RAAF Point Cook in early November, RAAF Chapel, AFC Shrine and RAAF Museum.
- Annual Royal Agricultural Society's Melbourne Showground Memorial service.
Assistance to Serving and Past Service Personnel and Dependants
- RAAFA's Welfare service, provide advice on entitlements and processes under the Veterans Entitlements Acts and Military Compensation Scheme.
- Participation with DVA and others to improve support for the serving and past serving personnel.
- Provision of advice on access to Service records/medal entitlements for family researchers.
